Peace signs are Round
My inner hippie loves a car with a Peace sign as it's symbol ♥ My inner sociologist loves that a car born of connected deeply with bigotry and genocide has a Peace sign as it's symbol ♥ My inner pinup girl can't wait to have black and white nude photographs taken of her lounging on a car with a Peace sign as it's symbol ♥ My inner steel worker loves the tank like qualities of a car with a Peace sign as it's symbol ♥ My inner Me likes to write a Peace sign as it's symbol over and over again ♥

Pretty cool, huh?
I have a question about the second one though...Mercedes Benz started in the late 1800's, is there some history behind it I don't know??? I know Volkswagen was started by the Nazis. It was the a car for the people, and I know that the Nazis used a lot of Mercedes, but is there another connection? Truly curious....
I fixed it ;) There is a connection, beyond just driving the killers around in style -- "The firm avidly supported Nazism and in return received arms contracts and tax breaks that enabled it to become one of the world's leading industrial concerns. (Between 1932 and 1940 production grew by 830 percent.) During the war the company used thousands of slaves and forced laborers including Jews, foreigners, and POWs. According to historian Bernard Bellon (Mercedes in Peace and War, 1990), at least eight Jews were murdered by DB managers or SS men at a plant in occupied Poland. There was a report that Daimler-Benz built mobile poison gas vans, but this has never been corroborated..." -the straight dope :D
Thank you for the enlightenment...although I do love those cars. :-P
I have never liked Mercedes. I guess I have always been just a Chevy truck kinda girl. Now with this information I am thoroughly thankful that I don't have Mercedes tastes.
