Move ahead 24 years and this wisdom has not only taken root in Who I Am, it has shifted and intensified its meaning for my life.
Somewhere, right in the beginning of negotiations, this perspective was lost. I forgot about the illusion. I set my feet down & declared REAL. I used this grounding to take on monsters and demons. Fearlessly I thrust myself forward into life. I was safe.
My truth.
The work. Heh. The work, the worthwhile work of love acceptance challenge team building uncovering soothing clearing healing, will carry such great (ongoing and immediate) reward, it won't even feel like work, right?
Fuck no.
It feels like explosions falling tears anger fear doubt worthlessness hopelessness darkness.
It leads to questions about everything you've ever believed to be True in the world.
It shows clearly the difference in action of one person, when she believes she is loved from without & is then led (kicking and screaming, it seems) to find love within.
I had that whole Radical Self Acceptance thing going for me, surely part of the attraction. Living it. Being it. And it was easy, oh so easy. After all, I had finally received the External Validation I'd dreamed of for half my life. When you're the luckiest, best loved human in the universe, life's got no insurmountable challenge.
So a glimpse of what's possible and the terrific vacuum left in its wake. Just what I needed. What I didn't know I didn't know.
Tools to combat the dark & cacophoninic chaos are not easily found, let alone held onto... Silence, heat, stretching, they work wonders. Ending gluten, that was magic. I still miss dairy. Sugar is on the Long Goodbye Plan. Joining other humen in enjoyable pursuits (dancing, eatin, acroyoga), has been a primarily positive experience.
The gifts I didn't know I needed.
Seeking that which is seeking me (Rumi).
I can fly.
without a net.
I can be the best loved human in the universe any time I choose to love me best. The Gift.
