I just love to master baked goods; even, maybe especially, those I cannot enjoy myself. A strange vicarious love I have for the dairy eaters of the world ♥ I did have some of this one (being the very first cheesecake I ever made), face hives & phlegm be damned, and I'm so glad I did! Just to stand out (and perhaps show off) I forgo the (anyone-can-do-it) graham cracker crust for a (diana's-got-skills) flaky pie-like crust. MmmmMmmmMmmm Added that one to my list!

Base 10 Counting and the Numbering of Years

I know it's confusing to a lot of people; I can't explain why I find it so obviously easy.
When you (you of a base 10 society, like, oh, all of you reading this) begin to count, which number comes first?
ONE? Yes!
When you get to the end of your fingers, which number is that?
TEN? Yes!
If you're with me so far, this next part should come easily.
When counting Decades, Centuries, and Millenniums, the counting begins with ONE!

Thereby, the 21st Century AND the 2nd Millennium C.E. began with.... 2001
This year, 2010, is the final year in the first decade of the 21st Century and 2nd Millennium C.E.
