As I came out of the post office today, a camera man asked if I would speak to the Tim Johnson situation. Thank the stars I have the news on my Google home page!! I had just read about Tim's mystery illness, though nothing today... eek! So I agreed and I spoke to how hard this must be at this time of year for his family and I hope they are able to have the support they need for their new situation. He asked me about Mike Rounds replacing Tim, should he be incapable of returning to work. I told him I'd sure like to see Tom Daschle back in Washington again! hee hee hee

Oh man, perfect response! Any idea when/where we might be able to see it?
I dunno... I think it's like that 'man on the street interview, you can probably only see me in Topeka or someplace strange...
I just read somewhere, though, that part of Daschle's defeat was SD'ns not wanting to send a full Dem representation after Steph's election... so now that buddy-boy Thune's there, I think we should start a letter writing campaign, put the squeeze on Mikey and tell him to appoint Tom!! I'm sure there are plenty of non-Repubs from other states who will help keep the Senate's current "balance." Besides, WE SD'ns elected a Democrat, Tim should at least be replaced by someone in his own party... just outta respect for the almost-dead!
