I am Grateful

...for Mary. Today, of the 10,846 reasons that exist, for once mentioning a theme for a series of ATCs ~ I am. That simple title has resonated with me for an entire year. Here indeed is the whole, complete and perfect manifestation thus far ♥ I am Me!
...for Kryon. For describing so deliciously Michael's Map; for introducing the vibration current into my realm. I look forward to my impending shifts of becoming, awakening.
...for Sandra, because I once walked into a room just to hear her say, "If you've got one foot in yesterday and the other in tomorrow, you're pissing all over Today." I've had quite enough of that outta me, today both my feet are here and now.
...for Joni. For beginning her own pattern of I am posts and sharing them with the world. I, too, am on a Journey of Joy ♥
...for Me! Today I began another leg of my journey. Today I am a ball of free-flowing chi (and other digestive juices and goo - ain't that a happy side effect!). Today I am stuck-free. Today I am in Love with my Life. Today I am Grateful for my amazing phone, which took these photographs ~ Thank you Scotty, you are Super Cool & so is that phone!

I am grateful I got to go here today
I paused a moment on my drive home, to watch the mist on the mountains...clouds and snow and mountains and green, my prairie heart was singing ♥And I'm very grateful to share with the Traaseths that this view, this very forest,
exists 10 minutes from downtown Corvallis!
just sayin'

I am a small town girl.

I love to live where you can leave your keys in the ignition and your front door unlocked!
Today I discovered another bonus!
When you go out to go potty and the door closes behind you, locked, and you can't get back into the shop to call someone to help you, you can drive home and find your phone list.
If you're really lucky, you can save some of the muffins for the bakery case!

Thursday 13, Round 5

13 Ways I'm affected by the writer's strike.

1. It's January. Hello. Mama's dates start this month. Mommy's very important date. I ♥ Mondays. Mmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmm, mmmmmmm. I need 24 to start on time. It's imperative my date be guilt free. Please pay the writers. Thank them on my behalf every day. For bringing me Keifer in an amazing well-woven package. I already thank god for this package. Thank you Gods. All of you. I am grateful for your gifts. Please don't delay my date.

2. Pushing Daisies. If not for the writer's strike I may not have watched the whole season on line. I hope the writers get some kind of compensation for that. It's a sweet and charming, macabre and dark, very diana, very Tim Burton, twisted hour of comedy. And it's narrated by Jim Dale. Delicious. Delicious Baked Goods, too. I want MORE! 3. Chuck. I watched him on line, because of the strike, too. Please pay someone accordingly. I was afraid this guy would be Steve Carrel painful. Thank heavens he is not!! He is sweet and charming and *smart* and foolish. And worth seeing more of! Bring back Chuck!
4. Desperate for Desperate Housewives!! I am glad to see a new episode slated for my Sunday Night enjoyment. Daggummit! I coulda dug out the bodies from the tornado mess my own self, by now!! I just gotta know my girls are okay. Leaving us hanging like this is not nice. Writers still deserve to get paid.

5. Ugly Betty. Charlie's spawn is only growing my the moment here folks! We're on a serious Nature imposed time crunch. This whole thing has gotta resolve before the early spring birth. Now what? The writers have a lot of work to catch up on. I can't wait. Really. Stop making me.

6. Aaaaaaahhhhh, I got a 2 hour, yes, 2 hour Law & Order fix last night and today. New cop (Remember Brenda's Psycho Brother from Six Feet Under?), New ADA and :::trumpets::: Jack McCoy as DA. New episodes of the spin offs are on my way, too. ::::gratitude:::: On another show, the big gap in episodes may have made the transition easier; I'm hardcore I'm used to the revolving door of characters on this series. The Gemini in me is rarely bored in this genre. Thank you writers!

7. I've fallen in love with Graham Norton. He's on the DVR now, high priority even. Marilyn Manson on BBC is incomparable. OMG. Never a dull moment. Never dry panties. Thanks to his writers for not striking and continuing to provide me entertainment. I hope you're paid well.

8. I'm ready to become the next Dog Whisperer. Reruns + too many channels = bizarre results. Cesar both repels and attracts me. Which, of course, warms my Gemini heart. I'm gonna keep watching for the next year, until I'm sure I'm ready to be a calm, assertive pack leader for the dog we're willing to welcome then. I don't want Cesar to have to come train me to do anything. I think I got it already.

9. I'd like my favorite Reality Shows to be a delicious part of my overall television diet, not the sustenance. It's been like living on popcorn. That said, I am loving the new season of Project Runway. Though I have a love/hate relationship with 10. Real Housewives of Orange County. I wouldn't mind if I had better competition for my attention. And yet, I am compelled and repulsed. (there's that theme again) This show especially gives me even greater respect for the writers of the shows I actually love to watch. They deserve a raise. All of them. 11. American Idol is coming. Shhhh. Balance. That's what this girl needs. Please, dear writers, provide me with some soon.

12. Earl. I need Earl back. I miss Randy. I worry about him. Plus Earl's got karma to tend. Karma alone doesn't get the show written. Pay the writers already and bring back the Crab Shack Gang.

13. I got a break from Michael. Okay, I think I'm ready. I've had a lovely long break from the pain of who he is. I will breathe and remember he is fictional. And I will think that maybe the writers for The Office don't need a raise, Steve does. Then again, he should be fired and put out of all our misery. And we'd miss him. I can't wait for the painful hiney tingles. I miss Michael. And Jim. He's cute. And doofy. And painless. He loves Pam. She's sweet. And Dwight (the second Six Feet Under connection of this post). What do you say about Dwight? I miss his macabre logic. I want to hear him say Eyes are the groin of the face and mean it. hee hee. The strike gave me a chance to miss the creepiest guy on network televison. Thanks??

I am participating.

Isa. My companion rune. I've pulled her often. Or she's pulled me. She represents a tree in winter. Seemingly asleep. The work is deep within, secret, silent, still. Not until Spring, the Great Show, like Nature's Recital, does the work show itself worthy and true. It is in the Winter, in the midst of the Great Slumber where there is Work to be done. It's no accident I'm at a crossroads, I've now opened my eyes to the opportunities before me. I remember I can choose from the roads I see and from those I cannot yet see. I can choose to be Awake. I can choose to Participate. And I do. I do choose Awake. I do choose Participation in my own Life. Frankly it's the only *smart* thing to do, it's a damn cool Life, ya know ♥
I dreamed of jumping rope. In my new bra, of course. Muhammad Ali with boobs and braids. So I bought one. A really super cool one. The kind that makes *doubles* really easy. I was once skilled. And I remembered that everything good and wonderful about the playground of my elementary school was linked to jumping rope. I'm so glad to live again in that wonder.
I also remember how much I just like to stretch. Not yet yoga, a gentle awakening of my body. Reminding myself of all the parts I'm so thankful for, the parts that need my love and attention, the parts that make me who I am. A total-cellular Love Affair. Yeah, even the cellulite :) And my friend the fungus. Hey, he lives here, I should like 'im ♥
And in the liking who I live with category, I've made a Relationship to Money discovery. I actually spoke the words I hate money aloud. Like it was the truth. Already I've been cringing internally at the thought money and in my distaste for discussing it aloud in any way. Why? Why would money want to hang around someone, causing such intense discomfort? Not money's intention on any level. I want to have an enjoyable relationship with money. I proclaim my love of money. My deep and profound respect for and honor of money. Abundant it is. My relationship with money creates love, trust and joy in my universe. Amen.
...then there's food. Yeah, sing it like Maude. It's been the flagship of my issues for a very long time. Probably from the moment I was given anything other than my mommy's milk. Yeah, it's deep and well rehearsed. Today, however, I realized the fear at the heart of Food for me. I fear I too will be hurt by food. That I will use the Abundance of Food to cause harm to mySelf. Ick. Again, not a constructive thought. That voice has been fired. I love mySelf. Abundant food shows my love for my family and for myself. Abundant food represents my Faith in the Benevolence of the Universe is well placed. The Universe's Trust in Me to use The Bounty for Life, is also well-placed. Amen.
I will unstick my chi. By Any Means Necessary. I will participate in My Life. I will shine a Light onto those relationships in my mind that are wallowing in darkness, unattended. I will move more. I will Listen. I will do The Work, as it speaks to me. I will joyfully have my heretofore apathetic ass kicked, joyfully and in earnest.
And just one hour after placing my request with the Universe, I found and bought one of these for us. SCB really, really needed it. I do too ♥ Yay us! Yay sun-like-light!
All is as it should be. And it is Grand!
Happy Happy New Year!

Amy's New Year Poem

Thanks chickie, for the perfect inspiration, once again!
********************************************************************************
This Year

Highways, finger and caress

Hearts, linger and undress

Naked, isolated and courageous

Hopes, inflated and contagious

Looking back I spiral down

Through lessons old

Yet newly found

Patterns gathered matter

Only if I choose to change

Swaying in the blaring sun

I long for familiar rain.

Today's Daily Om Gemini Horoscope Stimulating Life:
You may feel courageous enough to break out of your usual routine today. You might be seeking new adventures, mental stimulation, or physical activity that will get your adrenaline pumping. These feelings can indicate a deeper feeling of boredom or dissatisfaction. Perhaps your career feels stagnant, or your relationships seem to have hit a snag. A good way to discover where improvements are needed is to consider the various areas of your life. If any of them leave you feeling restless or bored, you might decide to infuse these areas with new energy today. You could change your schedule, approach your work in new ways, or find ways to rejuvenate your relationships.
Making a simple change can turn your life into a new experience to be explored.

We can bring more excitement to our lives by making a conscious effort to seek new adventures and create opportunities for growth. Because of our busy schedules, we might not notice when certain aspects of our life become stagnant. Finding adventure and challenging ourselves to grow ensures that we never become bored. As we transform, so will our lives. Life is always a new experience because we are always creating it. Our minds and spirits are stimulated, and we feel more fulfilled and excited by life. You can remove stagnation from your life today by seeking exciting opportunities to grow, learn, and discover new worlds.

*****
Those words have been ringing through my head. They've swirled out of the mouths of those around me. I've chosen not to highlight the words which represent the reality of my many past nows. The bags to unpack. The baggage to leave behind. I've got courage to face what is and faith in what's possible.
I've been numb for at least a year. At least. Depression? eh. Hiding? Yeah. Like that. So. I just zipped off a letter to Mary's Acupuncture Goddess. Unblocked chi is never a bad thing. And yet that will not be the beginning. The beginning is already here. I already walk with new intentions. I am ready. Yes. I have the Courage to be Ready. Now.

For all that has come to pass,
I say thank you.

For all that shall come to pass,
I say YES!

Movie Quote edition. The real quotes are readily available, here are my additions to the fun!

1. "I don't expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through human veins, into the mind, until all are convinced I *should* be Czar of America."

2. "Why is the King always gone?"

3. "Harold, *everyone* has the right to make an imaginary twin to face all the shitty stuff they don't wanna."

4. "Nine companions, so be it. You shall be A Non-Con."

5. "Nonsense, I have not yet begun to grieve."

6. "Mama says they was magic shoes. They could take me anywhere, and comfortably- they's birks!"

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a peace filled evening with my boy, tomorrow my plans include supporting Tena thru her dd's mystery illness, pondering a quick jaunt to Vegas and making paper cranes from wrapping paper before Scotty throws it away :D and Sunday, I want to check out the local UU fellowship & see a movie with the boys!
