at my local grocery store, they often run specials on butter -- the 1/2 lb box is 10 for $10 (2 stix for a buck); the 1 lb box is 2 for $5.00 (4 stix for 2-1/2 bucks).
The 4 stick boxes always sell out first....
And on the day I pointed this out to Andy, he said "I don't need to care about that -- my wife will shop for food."

Hey I buy two twelve packs at a time but I look at the price first, and only get them if they are cheaper than the case!!!!
